# THE TEA TREE COMPANY
Is the result of the meeting between Sara Olmo and PierreViatour.
She is a dancer and choreographer and he is comedian and hand-to-hand carrier (circus technique).
Dance and the circus are our means of communication.
The body, our tool.
We want to use our language to sow seeds, feed the imagination and spread inspiration.
The company name refers to the essential oil also called “árbol de te” or “tea tree”.
The tree is for Sara and Pierre a strong symbol of nature, life and fulfillment. It is therefore an essential element for life on earth.
Just like oil, it is “essential” to our survival. On the artistic level, they are convinced that art and culture are also essential to the development of human beings.
# THE DIRECTOR
Yutaka Takei, was born in Fukuoka, Japan. At a young age, the search for body consciousness guided him and the course of his life.
Since 1997, through the mediums of movement and contemporary dance, he has embarked on a rich and intense professional career via numerous collaborations with renowned artists. He travels the world and collaborates with, among others, Hervé Robbe, Raimund Hoghe (choreographer, former playwright of Pina Bausch) and Carolyn Carlson.
Yet Yutaka does not believe that dance is his only means of expression. His artistic life expanded as he opened up new channels for creative expression, multiplying exchanges and experiences with different artists.
All these elements are materials with which he shapes his universe and translates it. At the root of his work we recognize the themes that are most dear to him: the relationship between mind and body and the sacredness of nature.
